Setting the course to carbon zero

The Decarbonisation Summit is back! This is a unique event dedicated to the decarbonisation of the commercial vehicle and road freight sector bringing together the key industry stakeholders to discuss the big topics associated with the journey to net zero.

You will have the opportunity to meet decision makers from across the sector to explore, investigate, inform and collaborate on the topic of decarbonisation.

There is much to do and the clock is ticking!

The decarbonisation of the commercial vehicle and road freight sector represents a major challenge for all those involved in the industry. For many companies, the move to a fully net zero vehicle fleet will involve significant transformation of their organisation and operation. If this industry transformation isn’t properly planned and executed there is a significant risk of supply chain chaos.

This year’s event, held in Birmingham, will consist of two elements:

We can’t wait to see you in Birmingham. Join us for what promises to be a very interactive and lively event and help shape the future of the industry. Places are limited so secure your slot to attend and also indicate whether you will be joining the study tour on 6 November.

Day One (6 November) – study workshop: We have organised a study tour to the Tyseley Energy Park, where you will able to witness firsthand the range of refuelling services (HVO, hydrogen and electric charging) on offer, plus a review of the work going on at the Birmingham Energy Innovation Centre and discuss with the technical experts who are busy shaping the future products and services for the sector.

Day Two (7 November) – the main event: The theme of this year’s one day conference is moving from talk to action and the emphasis will be on showcasing the rapid progress being made across all regions of the UK as the transition gathers pace. As well as presentations, the emphasis on interaction and discussion as we bring together a diverse panel of industry experts. The day will be hosted by our very own Andy Salter, fast-becoming a leading voice on the topic of commercial vehicle and road freight decarbonisation. We’ll be discussing the big issues and you’ll be invited to participate in the session either by using our interactive Q&A platform or coming on stage to join the panel sessions.
